NCP Blog: Labor Day Weekend…Already?!?

I say this every year, and I’ll say it again! How is it almost Labor Day already? Where did the time go? I hope you’re having a nice summer; it’s not officially over yet!

Labor Day is an annual celebration of the social and economic achievements of American workers. It is also seen to some as the unofficial end of summer. Summer vacations are over, camp is over, kids are back to school/college, the sunsets are getting earlier each day, and cooler temps are on the way.

Whether you choose to relax at home, get together with family and friends, go to the beach/pool, or even shop for Labor Day sales, I hope you have an enjoyable holiday weekend.

Fun Facts and Travel Stats

  • AAA booking data shows Vancouver, Rome, London, Dublin, and Paris are the top 5 international destinations over Labor Day weekend. Canada is popular this time of year because of its cooler temperatures and stunning scenery, and Europe has seen a surge in travel all year.
  • The top 5 domestic destinations are Seattle, Orlando, Anchorage, New York, and Las Vegas. Seattle tourism has been boosted by the strong demand for Alaska cruises. Florida destinations are popular for their beaches and theme parks.
